　　春节的由来

　　中国古时候有一种叫“年”的怪兽，头长尖角，凶猛异常。“年”兽长年深居海底，每到除夕，爬上岸,吞食牲畜,伤害人命。因此,每到除夕这天,村村寨寨的人们扶老携幼逃往深山,以躲避“年”的伤害。

　　今年的除夕，象亲们都忙着收拾东西逃往深山，这时候村东头来了一个白发老人对一户老婆婆说只要让他在她家住一晚，他定能将”年”兽驱走.众人不信，老婆婆劝其还是上山躲避的好，老人坚持留下，众人见劝他不住，便纷纷上山躲避去了.

　　当”年”兽象往年一样准备闯进村肆虐的时候，突然传来白发老人然响的爆竹声，”年”兽混身颤栗，再也不敢向前凑了，原来”年”兽最怕红色，火光和炸响.这时大门大开，只见院内一位身披红袍的老人哈哈大笑，”年”兽大惊失色，仓惶而逃.

　　第二天，当人们从深山会到村里时，发现村里安然无恙，这才恍然大悟，原来白发老人是帮助大家驱逐”年”兽的神仙，人们同时还发现了白发老人驱逐”年”兽的三件法宝.从此，每年的除夕，家家都贴红对联，燃放爆竹，户户灯火通明，守更待岁.这风俗越传越广，成了中国民间最隆重的传统节日”过年”.

　　舞龙舞狮的寓意是：可以带来好运，每次只要到了春节或者一些庆典的活动，总是会用舞狮来庆祝。舞狮象征着威勇和吉祥，在中国传统的习俗中，认为舞狮有驱魔的效果，希望用舞狮来镇压，表示自己的威武。

　　舞龙舞狮的象征是：人们在喜庆日子里用舞师龙来祈祷狮子的保佑。

　　人们相信狮子是祥瑞之兽，舞狮能够带来好运，所以每逢春节或其它一些庆典活动，都会在阵阵锣鼓鞭炮声中，舞狮助庆祈求吉利。

　　十五节以上的龙就比较笨重，不宜舞动，主要是用来观赏，这种龙特别讲究装潢,具有很高的工艺价值。还有一种“火龙”,用竹篾编成圆筒,形成笼子,糊上透明、漂亮的龙衣,内燃十分壮观。

　　元日爆竹声中一岁除，春风送暖入屠苏。

　　千门万户曈曈日，总把新桃换旧符。

　　New Year's Feast

　　The Spring Festival, Chinese New Year,is the most important festival for all of us.

　　春节，寓意着中国新年，是我们中国人最重要的传统节日。

　　All family members get together on New Year's Eve to have a big meal. At the same time, everyone celebrates each other.On the first morning of one year, people stick to the Fu or hang some couplets on the front door. Some houses' windows are stuck on red paper cuttings. The Chinese New Year lasts fifteen days. So during the fifteen days,we always visit our relatives from door to door. At that time, children were the happiest because they could get many red packets from their parents,grandparents, uncles, aunts and so on. The last day of the Chinese New Year is another festival.

　　在这个节日里，所有的家人都在除夕夜聚在一起吃一顿大餐。同时，每个人都互相庆祝着。在一年的第一个清晨，人们在门上贴上福或挂上对联。一些房子的窗户粘上红色的剪纸上。中国新年会持续十五天。所以在这十五天里，我们总是登门拜访我们的亲戚。那时，孩子们最快乐，因为他们可以从父母、祖父母、叔叔、阿姨还有其他亲戚那里得到很多红包。春节的最后一天是另一个节日。

　　It is called the Lantern Festival. Then the Chinese New Year comes to an end.

　　我们把这个节日命名为元宵节。在这个节日结束之后，中国新年就结束了。

　　The Lunar New Year is a great occasion to for Chinese people.It lasts about the first four days of the year,during which people do not work except for the workers on duty. Students do not go to school,and shops are closed.

　　农历新年是中国人民的盛事。它持续大约一年的前四天，在此期间,除了值班的工人以外其他人都不工作。学生不上学，商店关门。

　　Several days before the new year, people begin to prepare. Farmers kill pigs, sheep, cocks and hens. City Dwellers buy meat, fish and vegetables. Houses are cleaned;couplets are posted on the doors. Colourful lanterns are hung at the gate.

　　新年的前几天，人们开始准备。农民宰杀猪、羊、公鸡和母鸡。城市居民买肉、鱼和蔬菜。房子被打扫了，对联贴在门上。门口挂着五颜六色的灯笼。

　　On the eve of the new year, each family has its members gathered together and eats a family reunion dinner. After the meal, they watch TV until the clock strikes twelve.Then every family sets off long strings of small firecrackers and other fireworks to welcome the new year. On the first day of the new year, almost everyone is dressed in his or her best. When people meet on the way, they say to each other "Happy New Year". Friends and relatives pay New Year calls and give presents to each other. Children indulge themselves in games.

　　在新的一年的前夕，每个家庭成员聚在一起吃团圆饭。饭后，他们看电视，直到时钟十二点。然后每个家庭都会放上长长的小爆竹和其他的火制品来迎接新年。在新年的第一天，几乎每个人都穿着自己最好的衣服。当人们在路上相遇时，他们对彼此说“新年快乐”。亲友们拜年，互赠礼物。孩子们沉迷于游戏中。

　　Chinese New Year is a Chinese traditional festival.We also call it the Spring Festival. It is on lunar January 1st.

　　春节是中国的传统节日。我们也把它叫做春节。它是在每年的农历的1月1日。

　　On New Year's Eve, all the people sit around the desk and have a big family dinner.There are some vegetables, some fish,some meat, some fruits and some drinks like juice, coke, Pepsi and some nice wine.Overall, this is a good and delicious dinner.After dinner, we always watch TV New Year programmes.We had a wonderful evening on New Year's Eve.

　　除夕之夜，所有的人围坐在餐桌旁，吃了一顿大大的家宴。有一些蔬菜，一些鱼，一些肉，一些水果和一些饮料，像果汁，可乐，百事可乐和一些不错的葡萄酒。总的来说，这是一顿美味可口的晚餐。晚饭后，我们总是看电视新年节目。我们在除夕夜度过了一个愉快的夜晚。

　　On the first day of the Spring Festival, most people get up early and say "Happy New Year" to each other.For breakfast, people often eat dumplings and baozi. After breakfast, people often make a lot of delicious food, and children often play cards, computer games and fireworks. On the second and third day, we visit friends and relatives.

　　在春节的第一天，大部分人都早早起床，互致“新年快乐”。人们把饺子和包子当做早餐来吃。早餐过后，大人们会经常做许多美味的食物，而孩子们经常玩纸牌、电脑游戏和烟花。在春节的第二天和第三天时，我们会登门拜访朋友和亲戚。

　　Everyone is busy with Chinese New Year,and everyone is happy, too.

　　每个人的春节都很忙碌，但每个人也都很开心。
